Ingredients:
2 cups All Purpose flour
1 cup Rice flour
Pinch of Baking Soda
Salt to taste
Pinch of Asafoetida powder
1/4 tsp Carom seeds/ Ajwain seeds / Oma
1/2 tsp Chilly powder
3 - 4 tsp hot Ghee
Oil
Recipe:
Put all purpose flour, rice flour, salt, baking powder, chilly powder, asafoetida powder in a bowl. Add 3-4 tsp hot ghee and mix well. Add sufficient amount of warm/hot water and mix well. Keep the dough aside for about 20-30 mins by covering a lid.
Take little amount of dough and make a round ball.
Roll the ball to a medium thin round shape using rice/all purpose flour.
Take one small round shaped lid or bowl and press it over the rolled chapathi as shown in the picture below. Prick the pressed Paapdis using fork.

Take out the pressed Paapdis carefully and prick the other side of the Paapdis as shown in the picture below.
Keep oil in a thick bottomed vessel and heat. Put the rolled Paapdis and fry both the sides of Paapdis until they turn golden in colour in medium flame.
Once they are cooled to room temperature, store them in an airtight container. These Paapdis can be used for many chat items like Paapdi Chat, Dahi Papdi Chat, etc. The above mentioned ingredients will serve around 50 Paapdis.
